01 Jun Caring for a Patient with ALZHEIMER’S
During a pandemic we understand how hard it can be to keep your elderly loved ones at home. Caring for a family member with Alzheimer and/ or Dementia can be very hard on the family and patient. Often the patient can not understand or cope with what is going on and can get frustrated and angry with a family member. Communication is key. We can help navigate this difficult time for you.
At Cornerstone Home Health we have highly skilled nurses to help with disease management and education. This education can be for the patient and the family members caring for the patient. We are local and here to help in any way we can!
A free resource from Caregiver Network Action has great information and video series to help care for a patient with Alzheimer. “Did you know that there are nearly 15 million family members, friends, and neighbors who care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease? Take comfort in knowing that you are not alone by hearing what your fellow caregivers have to say. Sometimes, the best advice for family caregivers comes from those who have walked the path before you.”
